Image: Extract from the March 2000 issue of the Durundur Railway Bulletin: 'This is also an exciting photo as it shows ex Queensland Railway's B12 Class 2-6-0 No.30 BAUPLE collecting cane wagons at Gunalda on the North Coast Line. The loco belonged to the Bauple Mill and operated over a private branch from Gundiah, on the North Coast Line to the Bauple Mill, at Bauple. The loco was purchased from QR in 1926 and was scrapped in 1951. It was named BAUPLE during its ownership with the Bauple Mill and also continued to carry its old QR number. The Bauple Mill closed at the end of the 1950 season. The driver carrying the oilcan in the photo is Thomas William Sewell. It is understood this photo was taken between 1945 and 1950. Image: QR: 2 track machines I looked after at Central Station. The first machine is a Plasser 09-16 CAT (Continous Action Tamper) and the second machine is a Plasser SSP 302 ballast regulator. We had just tamped the Up main line platform at Brunswick Street station and had to wait at Central for a track closure to end before we could travel back to Dutton Park depot, c 6 September 2004.
